Accredited Degree and Academic Assessment |
| Academic assessment is a procedure carried out by the institution to ensure that the applicant has fulfilled Educational Base requirements, i.e. appropriate Engineering Degree. The applicant has to demonstrate that he/she has gained a suitable academic standard and the institution will check non-UK degrees against UK standards. Please refer to the membership requirements above. |

ICE
There is no necessity for the applicant to hold an accredited degree in order to become a member at any grade, but if the applicant's qualifications are not accredited with ICE, they will first need to apply for an Academic Assessment. |

 |
IET
Applicants need to demonstrate that they have university degree level education in an engineering subject. At present IET checks non-UK degrees against UK standards. |

| |
|
 |
IMechE
Accredited degree is required to become a member. If the applicant’s degree is not an accredited degree, he/she will be subjected to the IMechE Academic Assessment and will have to fill in self assessment form |
